The 1st JGSU “Chinese Language & Culture Month” for International Students Opens

The 1st JGSU “Chinese Language & Culture Month” for international students opened on the afternoon of November 6th, 2010. At the opening ceremony, Vice-president Luo Xuewei announced the 1st JGSU “Chinese Language & Culture Month” for international students open. All international students and their administrative staff, interns majoring in teaching Chinese as a second language (TCSL) in the School of Humanities attended the opening ceremony.

 

The series of activities of the “Chinese Language & Culture Month” for international students will last 30 days with the theme of “Speaking Chinese, Writing Chinese Characters and Singing Chinese Songs”. Among the various activities are HSK Exam Training, Pen Writing Competition, Chinese Recitation Contest, and Chinese Song Contest, etc. which will be displayed in form of quiz show, party and exhibition. These activities aim at enriching the international students’ extracurricular lives and improving their interests in Chinese.
